A scale of 11.5 million
The first thing to take in mind when working for the government is the scale at which things happen.
Inclusivity is one of the biggest focusses as solutions and procedures must work for all inhabitants of Belgium.
APPROACH
Bottom up & top down
We created a lot of courses for all profiles within the government to inspire and teach them about human-centred design.
At the same time, we created and gave several presentations to top management on how this approach should be adopted across the organisation and build into standardised procedures.
OUTCOME
Reaching millions by reaching a few
We saw interaction with human-centred design across the organisation spike.
Slowly we shifted the Digital open organisation into a central playbook used across several parts of the Belgian government.
